Heidi Compton never thought she’d experience homelessness.  But when Hurricane Gustav battered the coast of Louisiana in 2008, her family, along with thousands of others, were homeless and displaced within 24 hours. This is Heidi’s story, and how her commitment to helping others, specifically military veterans experiencing homelessness, led her to find a meaningful career with Cook Inlet Housing Authority.
